Galea's Art Studio & Gallery is celebrating 100 years of business with a brand new online retail store and gallery!

Beginning as Charing Cross Antiques, Joseph Galea was 16 years old when he decided to ignore his father's wishes and opened his first business. Selling his own original oil and watercolours, as well as souvenirs, Joseph grew his business by painting on every available surface, including bomber jackets for RAF pilots, tea trays and private commissions. he sold antiques, printed goods, greeting cards and much more. 

Galea's Art Studio became the meeting place for local artists to gather, discuss and argue, with the smell of linseed oil and cigar smoke wafting in the air, and heated discussions about techniques and critiques sounded amid the busy bustle of city life.

Moving into the second decade of the 21st century, Galea's is still going strong. With fine quality artist materials for both beginner and professional, and a beautiful array of original and printed artwork from Edwin Galea and many others.
